Matane’s accessible workforce objective
Recruitment Service
For FIDEL, attracting and retaining a dynamic workforce – comprising young, mature or immigrant workers – helps existing businesses to thrive and makes the region an attractive location for new businesses.
We are joining forces with our regional partners to establish a recruitment service which will help to attract, welcome and retain skilled workers in our region.
We have adopted a proactive approach to tackle labour shortage issues.
Training Programs Tailored to Business Needs
The Matanie’s businesses can access training programs tailored to their needs through the Cégep de Matane, the Collegia Group and the Vocational Education Training Centre (CFPRO).
Cégep de Matane
With 40% students from overseas (France), the Cégep de Matane offers very popular technical programs in IT, Industrial Electronics, 3D Animation and Multimedia. The college thus provides access to skilled employees who are available for employment locally upon completion of their studies.
